The Garden Centres featured within our site are by no means Small Businesses.  Many of our Featured Garden Centres welcome thousands of visitors a week through their doors. Garden Centre Staff standby, ready to share their Garden Advice and Expertise with customers who request help. They know the importance of Outside Play and Fresh Air for children, the pleasure found caring and watching Garden Plants grow.

Their Professional advice is priceless but offered freely to Parents and Children visiting the Young Buds Garden Site.  Throughout our Site you will discover Garden Ideas & advice on Planting, Growing, Caring & perhaps, learn what animals may visit your Garden. More importantly share these discoveries as you find them, with other members of Young Buds through The Tree House. We look forward to seeing your pictures and paintings hanging in The Potting Shed

So switch off whichever Electrical Appliance they cannot live without, we know it wont be easy!  Hand them a Plant Pot or Bucket, now smile as they lookup at you blankly, guide them out into the Garden, because the Fresh Air and Fun Awaits.

Garden Centres throughout the UK, together with the Young Buds Children's Garden Site, are here to encourage children from all over the World out into the Fresh Air. Children will see that with only a little effort and care, Flowers and Plants will begin to grow for them. They will discover creatures and animals living in the Garden which in the past have gone un-noticed.

Featured Garden Sites will also be donating Special Prizes for Competitions, running regularly for the Young Buds Community. These competitions and prizes are Free to enter and open to Children ALL OVER THE WORLD they are not restricted to the UK.

As Adults we all feel a responsibility to encourage our children to lead a more healthier lifestyle.  Eating and drinking healthier is a great start, but FRESH AIR and EXERCISE  is just as important.

We Welcome Children & their Parents from all over the World, to join our Young Buds community share your Garden Ideas. Amaze other children with the differences in Animals, Plants &  Flowers that are found in Gardens around the world.

We want to see your Children's Drawings, Paintings, Photos, Written Stories or Poems, basically anything that fuels their imagination. Competitions will be separated into different age categories and details will be posted regularly in THE TREE HOUSE  The Tree House members will be informed on How to Enter, Prizes, Dates, Winners & runner up prizes why not join them today it's Free.

The Garden is not only a place to play but also a complete learning and activity centre for children. Whilst they are outside think of the FRESH AIR and EXERCISE they will receive!

Young Buds is growing daily and we encourage all parents and children to send us ideas of their own Garden activities,  share experiences & your garden pictures with others in the Young Buds Community.  You can do all of this via our Young Buds Forum and Gallery sites.

Garden Centres, Garden Nurseries & Businesses local to our Feature Garden Centres, are joining forces with Young Buds Gardening Community. This huge Garden Team is ready to share ideas on how to encourage your Children into the Garden thus enjoying a healthy lifestyle & Fresh Air.

We have created  'THE POTTING SHED'  FREE to join, where all Young Buds can upload pictures they have either drawn, painted photographed ANYTHING  to do with their gardens, hobbies, maybe things they have built for those little creepy crawlies found in the Garden!

Why not join us in 'THE TREE HOUSE' again Totally FREE to join. This site was created so that Young Buds could ask questions, solve problems for others. for example :-

• How do I encourage Wild Birds, Squirrels, Badgers, Foxes, into my garden what foods do they like to eat and where is the safest place to put these foods.

• I want to plant some vegetables which are the nicest ones to grow.

• How can I stop Slugs & Snails eating my plants. I want to do this kindly without harming them.

• I have to many worms in my wormery what do I do now.

• Which are the easiest flowers to grow.

Both sites are monitored to keep out any unwanted content.

So on those rainy days when you cannot get out into the Garden why not Paint or Draw your pictures, put them in the Gallery and then tell others all about what you have been discovering, growing or making.
