It's Time to

 PLAY IN THE GARDEN

Playing outdoors not only provides children with unlimited entertainment, but it's also good for them. The fresh air and physical activity combine to make kids more energetic, more adept and more fit. Parents can cultivate these healthy benefits by providing ample access to outdoor play equipment.

On hot summer days cover your children with a good Sun Lotion, keep their heads covered with a Sun Hat then listen to their laughter as they soak up the Sun and Fresh Air.

Swings are a fantastic form of entertainment for children and don't have to cost the earth!

If you have a Strong Tree in your Garden, an old Tyre and a good piece of Rope then within 30 minutes your 'Young Buds' can be having the time of their life. At the same time they will be getting lots of FRESH AIR and Exercise and you will be doing your bit to save the planet by using up your old Tyres!

Create your own Tyre Swing

Tie a strong piece of rope around a tyre and hang it from a tree. Make a hole in the bottom of the tyre so that rainwater does not collect in it. Ensure that the knots are secure.

If you have young children we do advise parents to watch over them and stay in the garden.  We understand that parents have a busy schedule but if you think about how tired your little ones are going to get, with all this FRESH AIR and Exercise, you will be able to catch up on those household chores because they will sleep much quicker at bedtime!

Ready made Swings can be purchased from many outlets at a very reasonable cost.

If you have any ideas of your own on Building Garden Swings, Seesaws or Slides, then why not share them in THE TREE HOUSE.

Most small children love playing in sand

However if your like most Parents you really don't want them playing in just any old garden sand.  This can carry Germs and Bacteria and can also be really dirty.

A much safer plan is to build a sandpit or a sandbox and the good news is... they are really easy to build.

A sandbox is a box that sits on top of the ground while a sandpit usually involves digging a hole into the ground.

Advice on how to do this can be found in THE TREE HOUSE.

Remember to always make sure your children's Head and Skin is protected from the sun.  Make sure they have plenty to drink and on really hot days take them indoors for some shade occasionally.

Young Children must not be left unattended outside. As we have already mentioned, we know Parents have many things to do in a day, but if your Young Buds don't like going to sleep in the lighter nights you will find all the Fresh Air and Exercise will soon have them sleeping like babies and probably you to!
